Well done to Bervie Primary School and Marketplace Primary School, Inverurie for having their animated films screened in the “Co-Operative Young Film Makers Festival” in Bradford on October 13th. I (Jim) went along to pick up your certificates and watch the films.

The films were shown in the Pictureville Cinema at the National Media Museum in the middle of the city to an audience of young film makers, film societies and avid movie goers.

.Going in to see the film

After nervously watching all the short films, each film maker was applauded onto the stage to collect their certificates and have photos taken. The school classes for Aberdeenshire were unable to come so it was up to me to smile and pull funny faces. The giant clapper board and gold statue were too tempting, so I hid behind them and growled like a dog!

.Audience watching "The Story of mary Elphinstone" by Marketplace Primary School, Inverurie.

The museum is a fantastic place to visit (and completely free) There is a whole floor dedicated to animated films, featuring animated toys and machines to learn from. There are lots of models from old and new TV series and films, including the original "Morph".
