Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
- Holy Trinity First School
An animation made in just 2 hours as part of the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, 2007. The film was made by a First School class from Holy Trinity School, Berwick Upon Tweed.



Buckhaven Theatre project - between Jan and June 2007

This was a five month youth project in Buckhaven in Fife. The idea was to make a theatre show mixing performance, large scale puppets and projected animation.  Red Kite acted as animation mentor for 13 days of this production. The final show was fantastic.

Puppet and Animation Festival – March-April Annually
Red Kite is proud to be part of this 20 year old festival. Workshops range from 2 hour introductions through to 3 day film making events. Venues are varied, from arts centres, libraries, community education centres, schools, adult learning projects and Yorkhill Hospital.

National Museums – Pixar – March 2007
As part of 2007’s Pixar Animation Exhibition, Red Kite held three, full day workshops. One workshop was for 14 to 18 years, one was for adults who were artists or enthusiasts and the third was a teacher training day (CPD) to show teachers who were interested in running workshops at their schools. Parson's Green Primary School, Edinburgh – May 2007
This 4 day workshop focused on teaching about local environmental issues to a primary 7 class. The class made an animated news program about recycling, covering their own wormery and other local issues. Funded by Scottish Natural heritage. Also click here to view this film's "Case Study"



Charleston Primary - An Animated Guide
This film was made over the course of 5 days by the P7 class of Charleston Primary School in Aberdeen in 2007. The class were comissioned to make a guide for the school to be shown to new children coming up from nursery. Its so long I can only put half of it on YouTube!!



Barnardos – Aberdeen - 2007

Working with the Griffin Service in Aberdeen, Red Kite helped children in foster care make a series of humorous animations.  10 day workshop.

Arts across the Curriculum project
Charleston Primary School - June 2007
Another 5 day project where the Primary 7 class were commissioned to make an informative animated DVD for the little kids coming up to Primary 1. The class also recorded their own soundtrack.

Go4It! – Easter and Summer, annually
A series of 3 day workshops for secondary school children in the holidays. Part of a much larger Edinburgh Council project to provide hundreds of amazing events for children.  DVD’s of the resulting films are given to all participants. Sadly, 2007 is the last year this project will run in Edinburgh.

Similar to Go4it, but smaller. Several single day workshops for children from P4 to P7.
