The Secret of the Hidden Gardens
Inspired by the Hidden Gardens at The Tramway, Glasgow this project was a collaboration between Red Kite and Storytelling Unplugged. The film, The Secret of the Hidden Gardens, was produced by pupils at Pollokshields Primary School, and screened in The Hidden Gardens as part of The Inspiration Festival 2005. This film was shown at the "Co-Operative Film Festival” in Bradford, in 2006.
Louise Hopkins project
As part of the Opt in for Art scheme, Red Kite was commissioned by the Fruitmarket Gallery to create an animated film with pupils from Craigroyston Community High School. The Louise Hopkins exhibition acted as the springboard for ideas with the group spending a day at the gallery to see and discuss the work.
Also on the subject of the Louise Hopkins exhibition, and as part of the The Big Draw, a workshop took place using Copyleft software. The project worked with young adults at the Gallery and on the Smartbus, a mobile IT suite.
Both films received a special screening at the Gallery.
