Lennoxtown workshop - December 5th 2009
This really short workshop yeilded 2 great films! The theme was to solve problems in non violent ways. Made as part of the "16 days of Action" campaign.




Selkirk Connections centre workshop - 12th nov 2009
These smashing films were made in just one day by a group of young people from the Scottish Borders. The workshop took place in Selkirk Connections Centre on the 12th November 2009.


I Feel so so so.....
This music video was made in just 10 hours by a group of young people at Moredun Young People Centre‎ in Edinburgh. The film makers also wrote and recorded the music track and designed their own logo.


2D vs 3D - Eastgate Theatre, Peebles
All these great animations were made in a single day at Eastgate theatre in Peebles. The class were asked to mix 2D cut-out characters with 3D plasticine beasts to create their films.




Quest Seekers - Peebles Library workshop
These films were made at a short workshop as part of the Quest Seekers Summer Reading Challenge this year. They were made at Peebles library in the Borders.

Lennoxtown - Movie Trailers 2009
All these films were made by 13 young animators in Lennoxtown in July 2009.



Scottish Parliament 2009
These films were made by children aged 5 to 12 years in a short workshop at the Scottish Parliament. Its 10 years since devolution, and all the children who were born on the 1st July 1999 were invited to the parliament for a huge party. The cake was great!




Edinburgh International Film Festival - Morning workshop (13-17 years)
These films were made as part of this years festival. Its a huge amount of work for just a couple of hours. Well done.

 

Edinburgh International Film Festival - Afternoon workshop (adults)
All these films were made as part of this years festival. This was a short introduction workshop for adults (who are a bit like kids, but taller!)

 

The Big Step - North Berwick High School
This huge film was made as an informative DVD to send to the Primary Schools that feed North Berwick High. It was made by S1 pupils as part of their English classes in May 2009.  




Before Our Time - Clovenstone Primary School
"Before Our Time" was made in 3 days by the P7 class at Clovenstone Primary School in Edinburgh. It documents some of the important facts about World War 2. The class made everything from the characters, backgrounds, titles and voice recordings. This film is being screened at the Filmhouse cinema in May. Well done class!




Dino's Horrid Health - Clovenstone Primary School

This brilliant film is all about better ways to look after your health. It was made in just 3 days by the P6/7 class at Clovenstone Primary School in Edinburgh. Made in February 2009. This film is being screened at the Filmhouse cinema in May. Well done class! Full credits for this film are in the "Before our Time" film, above.




Pather Play Project
This film has been made by the young people of Pather. It reflects their feelings about the play spaces they have now and what they hope to have in the future.



Puppet Animation Festival - "Then and Now" - Newcastleton
This great film was made in one day by the P4/5 class at Newcastleton Primary School. Made as part of the Puppet Animation festival.




Puppet Animation Festival - Platform Theatre, Glasgow

These films were made in a short workshop at Platform Theatre, Glasgow. They were made as part of Scotlands Puppet Animation Festival 2009.


Puppet Animation Festival - Melrose Primary School
All these films were made in one of Red Kites 2 hour workshops at Melrose primary school in the Borders of Scotland. The workshop was part of the Puppet Animation Festival in Scotland.

Diana and Actaeon - The Animation
This film was made by 16 young animators at the National Gallery in Edinburgh in February 2009. The film is based on the famous famous Titian painting "Diana and Actaeon" and predicts what could have happened next, straight after the scene in the painting.



YouthBank animation 2009
Heres the finished film made in just 5 hours in February 2009. YouthBank is an innovative grant making and empowerment initiative run by young people for young people across the UK. This animated film was made by 9 young people from all across Scotland. The animation was screened at the launch show straight after the workshop and shared a stage with music performances and a dramatic performance.
